Today we\u2019re celebrating\u00a0World<\/strong> Wildlife<\/strong> Day<\/strong>. It\u2019s a day to celebrate the beauty and variety of wild flora and fauna and to help children learn about the importance of biodiversity and preserving all forms of life. That\u2019s why we\u2019re proposing some fun and very entertaining activities for the whole family. Take note!

Organize a DIY animal mask workshop.
\n<\/strong>An activity for all ages that will spark their creativity. You can use scraps of paper to create colorful birds, like these by the artist Lucille Michelli<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0Or you can reuse paper<\/strong> plates<\/strong><\/a> or cardboard<\/strong> boxes<\/strong> <\/a>.<\/p>\n

Recycle old toys to make planters.
\n<\/strong>A great idea for recycling old toys is to turn them into planters<\/strong>. It\u2019s a simple project that provides a truly unique result. During the workshop, you can talk about the importance of recycling as you choose what to plant for each animal. We loved this crocodile<\/strong><\/a> with succulents!<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>A lovely way of learning about our planet\u2019s diversity, endangered animals, and ecosystems is through a good book. And if the illustrations are gorgeous, all the better. In, \u201cMy Wild Family\u201d<\/strong>, the main character compares each member of her family to an animal. \u201cBeautiful Birds\u201d<\/strong> is a stunning alphabet book that presents a collection of the most striking birds around. In \u201cDisappearing Acts\u201d<\/strong>, kids will discover a different landscape on every page, along with the endangered species that inhabit them. And \u201cMad about Monkeys\u201d <\/strong>explores different types of monkeys, their origins, and how they relate to one another.<\/p>\n
