Success is the sum of small actions. In keeping with our identity and our commitment to children, a few months ago we announced the first edition of the boboli Suma Prize<\/strong>, open to associations that work every day toward providing children with the resources they need to develop into great human beings.
\n<\/p>\n

Coinciding with Universal Children\u2019s Day<\/strong> on November 20, the first edition prizes were awarded to four projects that promote children\u2019s well-being and the fulfillment of basic childhood needs<\/strong>. The event, held at the headquarters of the Fundaci\u00f3 Maria Ravent\u00f3s, brought together mothers and children from the foundation, professionals from each award-winning organization, and the boboli team.<\/p>\n

The first award was presented to Fundaci\u00f3 Mar\u00eda Ravent\u00f3s for the project \u201cI can live with my mother\u201d<\/a>.<\/strong> The foundation received a total of \u20ac20,000 toward their residential services project for pregnant women or women with children under three in situations of social exclusion and extreme poverty. The ultimate goal is to foster the mothers\u2019 personal and social recovery and to create a positive motherhood experience, while ensuring the children can remain with their families.<\/p>\n

Another of the winners was the Banco Alimentos\u00a0Bizkaia<\/strong>. Their project \u201cChildren\u2019s breakfasts in Bizkaia\u201d<\/strong><\/a> received the second prize of \u20ac10,000 to be used to provide 3,017 children under 6 with a good breakfast every day. The food bank, which currently provides 2.5 kg of food per child per month, including dairy products, cereal, sugar, cocoa, cookies, yogurt and baby food, hopes to increase that amount to 3.25 kg in order to reach recommended levels.<\/p>\n

The third prize of \u20ac5,000 was awarded to Asion, the Children\u2019s Cancer Association of Madrid, for the project \u201cFamilies supporting other families\u201d<\/a>.<\/strong> The initiative was designed to meet the basic needs of families with a child suffering from cancer who live in situations of poverty or are at risk of social exclusion. The association provides support for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age and their families.<\/p>\n

Finally, the fourth prize of \u20ac5,000 went to the Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Salvador Gavina<\/strong><\/a>, which works to aid and support the basic needs of children, adolescents, and young people in the Raval District of Barcelona, along with their families.<\/p>\n
