If we think of the strength of spaghetti strands\u2026 the first thought that crosses our mind is: they break ever so easily. Well, in the experiment we\u2019re proposing today you\u2019ll discover that this is not the case. The spaghetti strands are much stronger than you think. <strong>Would you like to discover it with us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 supports (of wood or cardboard\u2026)<\/li><li>1 box of spaghetti<\/li><li>Full glass jars<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong>Stand the two supports facing each other<\/strong> at an appropriate distance for placing the spaghetti strands on them.<\/li><li>The first time round, place a single spaghetti strand and try to stand a glass jar on it.<\/li><li>Then, put a handful of spaghetti across (preferably cut in half) and stand the glass jar on top of them. <strong>As the weight will be distributed, the jar will not fall. <\/strong>Because strength lies in unity!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Un juego de resistencia: Espaguetis forzudos\" width=\"1778\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B7l1Woj3PXY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why does this happen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the point on which a force is exerted is increased, the tension is reduced.
