International Book Day is around the corner, and in boboli we want to give you some ideas, so you know what books to ask for this next 23rd of April. Alongside with Penguin Random House we have selected five books that will not leave you indifferent! You will never get sick of reading them again and again. We want you to discover reading’s incredible adventures with us!
Today is International Children’s Book Day and we, in boboli, would also like to contribute with our grain of sand. It is a great day celebrated the world over when different initiatives are launched to foster the habit of reading in children. The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) has been in charge of promoting this day from 1967 onwards. It coincides with the birthday of the Danish writer, Hans Christian Andersen.
A story is a text that explains a tale through its main characters with a sudden final ending. There are all types: of exploration, discovery, to split your sides with laughter, to weep inconsolably, to frighten… When children write their first lines or mini story, they move a step ahead in their development and growth. They learn to reflect, put their ideas in order and ask themselves questions on concrete things.
It’s here! Today’s Father’s Day and we have the great opportunity to demonstrate all the love and affection we feel for him. A father is someone who protects you, understands when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules and feels genuinely proud of you when you are successful. But, above all, whatever your need may be he is always there to help you without asking for anything in return.
Today is International Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate it than with reading! The Small and Great story collection of the publisher, Alba Editorial, is addressed to little readers to help them discover who these great women of contemporary history were and what they achieved. They all fought for their dreams despite having all the odds against them. Each had something special to learn from and identify with.
Are books a matter of love at first sight for you? Do you spend hours lost in the adventures of your favourite characters? Classic children’s literature is a must in all homes where there are children because it helps them stretch their imagination and daydream. There are countless protagonists you can disguise yourself as, but in boboli we have selected four that will inspire you to carry on cultivating the magic of reading at home.
